Jackson, MS— On Saturday, August 10, 2019, The Mississippi Opera Guild will presentAn Evening in St. Petersburg: To Russia With Love. This is theirannual benefit galato support the Mississippi Opera. It will be a delightful evening of great food, great music, and great entertainment. Performers will be Marta Szlubowska, concertmistress of the Mississippi Symphony Orchestra, coloratura soprano Tjaden O’Dowd Cox, dancers from Ballet Mississippi and violin and piano duo, Tyler and Shelly Kemp.
The evening will consist of spectacular music, a silent auction, and a multi-course, Russian-themed meal inspired by the cultural grandeur of Saint Petersburg and prepared by Amerigo head chef, Derek George. Founded by Tsar Peter the Great in 1703, Saint Petersburgis often considered Russia's cultural capital.
Admission is $150 per person or $1,100 for a Table of 8. Seating is limited.
