Jackson, MS— Monday, September 18, 2017, at 7:30 p.m., at Duling Hall in historic Fondren, Mississippi Opera presents CABARET SOIRÉE: AN EVENING OF BROADWAY FROM STAGE TO SCREEN, featuring soprano Amy Pfrimmer and pianist Dreux Montegut. Mississippi Opera’s opening season features soprano Amy Pfrimmer and pianist Dreux Montegut. This is going to be a fun evening of great Broadway music coupled with humor, sensuality, and yearning. The show includes songs written for stage and film by Gershwin, Kern, Porter, and Weill. You will hear instantly recognizable favorites paired with Broadway’s more obscure, unheralded gems.
Join us for an offering of smart and witty songs that reveal an array of emotions and textures, as well as lyrics that are sometimes risqué and often quite deeply emotional. Come join us for CABARET SOIRÉE, Monday, September 18, 2017 at 7:30 at Duling Hall, 622 Duling Ave, in Jackson’s historic Fondren District.
